Many students dread taking online courses solely because of the lack of face-to-face contact with teachers. However, there are others who choose to abandon the traditional in-class experience and replace it with this unorthodox way of learning. Which is more effective? Is sitting in front of a computer screen at one's own time and working without any aid from a human body going to produce better grades? Or should a person choose to attend a class at a set time, date, and in a specific room at the disposal of a teacher? Students who take online or hybrid classes tend to perform better academically in comparison to those students who take the same course but with face-to-face instruction, said the Department of Education in their latest evaluation of online learning.
Why do I Rant? Well to begin, I feel its best I tell you a little about myself. I grew up in a very impoverished environment where my eyes were opened to many injustices. These unfair situations were and continue to be bestowed upon those who are unfortunate enough to be born in such places.
