Busy hallways, intense classes, and heavy book bags mark the beginning of the new semester for FSCJ on August 31st.
According to Steven Wallace, college president, FSCJ is expecting about a 15 percent increase in students. That means more prospective professionals in each class and fascinating friends to get to know.
The classes are offered in a variety of ways: face-to-face, hybrid - a mix of face-to-face and online, and solely online.
At the end of the semester, if you are unsure what to do with the books, try selling books back at the bookstore or online with websites such as Craigslist, Amazon.com, and eBay. Student government is attempting to lower the prices of books so eventually that burden may be lifted.
Even though the economy has been in a recession, FSCJ has been on the increase with enrollment up 22 percent even though funding is down by 21 percent. If that alone isn't encouraging enough, FSCJ's name is a "political miracle," according to Steven Wallace because of the similarity to FSU's name.
