Although October is filled with many eventful occasions, one event has been strong for over 72 years and that's Biketober Fest.

"It was exciting; I enjoyed everything: the live music, the different types of bikes, and the bikers from all over the world," said Bianika McClain.

McClain is a marketing major at Downtown Campus.

Although this was McClain's first year at the event, she has been interested in motorcycles for six years. She is even a member of the Unyfyed Ryders, a local motorcycle club. The club did not attend the event, but that didn't stop McClain from discovering Biketober Fest for herself.

But McClain was not the only Florida State College at Jacksonville student who was involved in Biketober Fest; psychology major Ivan Molina also went to the event.

Molina, who rides an R1 Yamaha and is not affiliated with any motorcycle club, finds the time to enjoy the event as a solo rider.

Molina said that mostly he enjoys meeting diverse people all gathered for one purpose.

"It's different people from all over the world united by two wheels," said Molina.

I got a chance to go to the event and it was an exciting experience. There were unique motorcycles parading the streets of Daytona Beach. I was able to hear the monstrous roar of the engines and listen to the alternative sounds of Trans Am by the pool.

Biketober Fest was definitely the event to be at, and if you were not there this year to witness this event, then make sure you are there at Biketober Fest 2010.
