Her family and friends would describe her as a very talented yet humble person, who loves to teach and inspire youth.
Her sister, an FSCJ employee, Chris Andrew Gibson said, "She is dynamic, absolutely the hardest working person I have ever met, and she's such a great mentor." Humbled as she may be, it's hard to hide her talent and her dedication for volleyball.
On Nov. 25, Coach Andrew celebrated her achievement of 500 career wins. Throughout the past she has also been recognized for many achievements by Florida Region USA Volleyball.
She has received the Outstanding Service Award, the Volleyball Ambassador Award, and the coveted Florida Regional Hall of Fame Award. She was also inducted into the Florida State College Activities Association's "Hall of Fame" in 2006 and named AVCA Region Coach of the Year in 2002.
Coach Andrew is also the founder of the Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association. Her league makes significant contributions to the city and in the year of 2008-2009 the JJVA generated $6.9 million dollars of economic impact for visitor spending.
Coach Andrew is such a valuable asset to our school and to the future of women's sports. For more information about JJVA please visit www.JJVA.com
